Principal's Message

On behalf of the faculty and staff at Lynwood High School (LHS), it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school website.  As the principal, I am honored to be a part of a faculty and staff that is committed to working together to provide the best education we can for our students.  We are excited to welcome back our students and staff to in-person instruction. We are even more excited to return to the original site of the Castle! We will open the 2021-22 school year in our new location, 12124 Bullis Rd. We want to reassure you that although we are transitioning to our new site we will continue our tradition of providing a college and career-focused education for our students and quality service for our families.

We will continue to emphasize creating positive relationships, an academically rigorous learning environment that promotes college and career goals through a standards-driven curriculum, and student-centered interaction as well as strong extracurricular programs.  Our work is highlighted by our Project Lead The Way, Career Technical Education, AVID, PreAP, and Advanced Placement programs.

We are committed to work hard and continue building strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners. Our school will implement Social Emotional Learning (SEL) this year using the School Connect Curriculum. We also pride ourselves in the successful implementation of the PBIS framework to provide additional support to our students. Our workaround for this framework has awarded us the Silver PBIS Implementation Award in the 2020-2021 school year. My goal as principal of LHS is to guide and support our staff and students to reach their highest potential, in a safe and nurturing environment.

Please take the time to explore and navigate our website to better acquaint yourselves with the many academic, athletic, staff, and campus life opportunities available to all of our students. Our website also provides the most recent update regarding COVID-19 related changes.  I hope that our website will be a practical resource for you and provide the information you need to take advantage of the many available opportunities to enhance the educational experience here at LHS as well as give us the opportunity to better serve our students, families, and community.

Once a Knight, Always a Knight!!

Sincerely,

Ana N. Gonzalez
